The S.N.D.M.A Printing Technology institute was started in 1984 with assistance from UNIFEM. Initially fifty girls were selected for this purpose and were imparted necessary training. Since then the
Printing Press has been going strong.

In due course of time and in an effort to keep pace with evolving technology the Printing Press has been upgraded from Letter Press set-up to an Offset Printing set-up. A Japanese ‘Hamada’ Offset Printing Machine donated by M/s. SAFIRE LETHOGRAPHERS of Chennai has turned into a veritable asset for this unit.

The Printing Institute not only trains students in the processes of Printing Technology but also accepts orders and serves as a unit that generates income for the organization.
